You're dealt four tiles, pair them into two hands, and the closest to a Qiu (nine pips per pair, double-nine total) takes the pot. You receive four tiles face-down, then split them into two pairs. Each pair's pip total mod ten is your score — the closer to nine, the stronger. Qiu-Qiu (9-9) is the ceiling unless a special hand lands.
Two raise windows run before the reveal — an opening stake and a call-or-raise step once tiles are dealt. Buttons sit thumb-height on mobile so you can fold, call or push without missing the timer.
